After the [tag]marrying[/tag] hype story, I found this comment by Erik Barzeski particularly interesting.
Carey and Erik’s wedding cost all of $78.50. If you want to get married on the cheap, he says, well, there you go. It can be done.
But it’s the practical focus that piqued my interest.
“The thing for Carey and I is not that we didn’t have a huge wedding… she had that before and it did nothing for her in the end – she got divorced.
“I’m just happy to be marrying my best friend – I don’t care much about the ceremony. I’ve heard before that a relationship is all about two people until they get engaged – then it’s all about the families and friends. The couple getting married often gets lost in the shuffle.”
I wonder how many can relate to that?
